Bit confusing this as he denies 'speeding' but from what I gather his story was that he was trying to evade paparazzi so in order to do so had to go faster than speed limit.
So he did 'speed'. But is using discretion?

There was a lawyer who used to post on here, I believe his speciality was getting drivers off drink drive charges. Not sure how these people sleep at night, to be honest. As much a cunt as their clients.

I remember Ferguson once got let off a charge of speeding down the hard shoulder of the motorway.
His excuse was that he needed a shit. I'd like to see the average member of the public get away with that.

the way they always used to get away with it was that their cars were company cars, with anyone in employ of the company allowed to drive them, so they couldn't ascertain who was driving. that particular loophole has been closed now.

Tony Pulis got off a few years ago he dodged a driving ban despite being caught by police doing 96mph on a Warwickshire motorway.
Pulis convinced magistrates that handing him a ban would cause hardship to him and the people of Stoke-on-Trent.
The 54-year-old Welshman had reached 15 penalty points with the offence but said he could not use a chauffeur as that could lead to leaks of confidential phone calls concerning the club made while on the road.
